Thresholds |
Though most Dreamscreens do not require any type of thresholds or adapters, there are a few situations where thresholds will improve the installation. The image below shows all the types of thresholds offered by Dreamscreens.
The three types of thresholds are shown in the order of how often they are used. Flat thresholds are the most common, followed closely by standard thresholds. Front thresholds are used only in cases where no existing thresholds exists, such as decks or lanais.

The flat threshold shown here is between the lower guide rail on the left and a section of the Dreamscreen standard threshold on the right. |
The standard threshold works well to add support and strength to the lower guide rail in cases where it sits on a flat surface. |
The front threshold is shaped very much like the standard threshold, except that it has an interlocking groove that matches up with the lower guide rail. It also has a cut out to allow the Teflon-impregnated piece to slide by unobstructed. |
