The stainless steel latch will prevent the Dreamscreen from being opened from the outside. Again, it is important to note that the Dreamscreen, like any screen, is not a security door, and should not be used to prevent child access to an area. A latch will only keep honest people out!

Stop pins are now included for double doors which, when engaged, will hold one of the panels in place. The stop pins are most useful for very wide openings (greater than 7ft), or highly trafficked openings. The pins are actually long molded strips that slide into the same groove as the handle; one above and one below. Simply sliding the pins outward from the handle about an inch engages them in "keepers" or drilled holes, and prevents the Dreamscreen from retracting. If you have an older model, contact Dreamscreens to purchase this option.

Less than a third of the Dreamscreens require any type of threshold, since the lower track has been designed to match the height of existing door thresholds. For those cases that may require thresholds, click below:

For face mounts on clam shell or cove molding (see molding), an "L" shaped aluminum bracket - the molding shim- works well to provide a flat surface to mount the Dreamscreen housing. |
